Helena and Mikael in Newsmagazine

The Newsmagasin (Tidningen7) is distributed in the municipality Örnsköldsvik and are handed out to 27187 household. Helena and Mikael was in the reportage given the readers a gourmet dinner out in the wilderness. They showed how you very easily can make a fantastic tasty dinner with dessert with just the stove, using light products that are easy to carry, whenever you are out on a adventure or just a picknic with you family.

Mikael and John finished Swedish cup with a broken bone!

This weekend the second multisport race in the Swedish multisport cup will take place in Trollhättan. Mikael and John was racing and was in the lead 80% of the course. Unfortunaltely John broked a bone in his underarm, but with a great willpower and teamspirit they pushed to the finish. The last kayak section Mikael was pulling John the hole way and John suffer from pain and chill. Unbelivible they finished 7th.

10.000 visitors at the fair!

Mikaels adventure racing presentation at the Outdoor and Wilderness fair extracted a lot of interested viewers. Totally the fair had between 10-11.000 visitors and it was a great first year edition that will be back next year!

Multisport at SVT´s ”Naturnollorna” today at 20.30 PM

Multisport at SVT´s ”Naturnollorna” 6 May 20.30 PM

“Naturnollorna” is a Swedish TV-production where a family with very limited outdoor acknowledges will be put into demanding challenges in the Swedish wilderness.

In the programme we will meet the family-Niklasson from Malmö, who prefer the city and shopping instead of the wilderness. They are now travelling to the High Coast Area in Västernorrland, for under two night and days, try the moments of adventure racing.  They will paddle, mountainbike, trek and the trip will end with a climb up the steep mountain, and the via-ferrata, in Skuleberget.
The familys adventure racing guide will be Mikael Lindnord, who together with Helena has brought the idea, created the course, logistic and safety.

Outdoor and Adventures Fair coming up this weekend!

This weekend the Outdoor and Adventures Fair will take place in Swedbank Arena in Örnsköldsvik. Mikael Lindnord will lecture about 10 years of Adventure racing and following are the times when he will having his speaches inside the Arean:
Saturday: 12.00
Sunday: 15.00

The Fair will be open 9-11 May.
Friday: 12.00-18.00
Saturday: 10.00-18.00
Sunday: 10.00-16.00

Mikael will lecture about adventure racing on the edge!

Mikael and John ended on 4th place!

This weekend the premiere of the Swedish cup in Multisport was held, Skåne Adventure Race. Mikael and John were competing together in this 6 hours sprint race. The course was divided as follow: 50 min technical biking, 20 min running, 90 min kayaking, 20 min running, 90 min orienteering, 90 min biking, 35 min orienteering.

John and Mikael started good and came up from the paddling on second place. Then they continued stabile until the long last biking where they made orienteering mistakes and dropped to a 4th place, which also became the final result.
The competition was very hard, many really fast and experienced teams so to make a error on the orienteering turns out to be devastated.  The weather and the course were really good and now Sweden starts turning into beautiful spring!

Mikael at Outdoor and Adventures Fair.

Outdoor and Adventures Fair will be held May 9-11 2008. The fair will take place in Örnsköldsvik, the heart of the High Coast, and will open up the only fair of this kind, in Sweden. A fair with both indoor and outdoor exhibitors at the same time.

During three days the fair have gathered a hundred of exhibitors from adevnture sports, fishing, hunting, nature photography, travelling and many more. The fair count on more than 10 000 visitors, and have already a lot of interested exhibitors and lecturers.

Mikael will be one of the speaker, and will tell more about adventure racing. Except Mikael other adventurer people like Ola Skinnarmo and Renata Clumska will speak.

Podiumfinish in Mexico

Just 3 days before the start, Mikael and Helena desided to go to Mexico and the second AR World Series event for the season. They teamed up with the american Rick Baraff and raced under Extreme-Sports.dk. The raced turned out to be hard, hot in the days (35-40 degress) and freezing cold in the nights.

After a dramatic "sprint" finish after 10 hours of pushing, the team got tie for third with Yoga Slackers.

Helena and Mikael are going for Baja Travesia in Mexico.

Helena and Mikael is going to the next AR World Series event for the season. They are joining with US racer Rick Baraff from San Fransisco. The teamname is Extreme-Sports.dk
