Commercial movie

Last week Mikael and Helena participated in a new film project that will be a 10 minutes commercial movie about Örnsköldsvik. A full week of biking, running, paddling and ropeworks.

The other in the commercial is hockeyplayer Niclas Sundström (NY Rangers/ Modo) and former biathlonchampion Anders Mannelqvist.

The Monster delivered

1060 km long, one of the longest adventure races in history, with the start in the coastal city of Sundsvall with a great journey through the middle of Sweden with a route through the mountains at the Norwegian border and back again.
Some fantastic areas of Sweden were explored like Sundsvall, Ånge/Ljungandalen, Helags, Sylarna, Åre, Sollefteå/Ådalen and Indalsälven.

The race worked with the best photographers in the business: Peder Sundström, Wouter Kingma, Krister Göransson and Magnus Stenman.

Release of Magasin Höga Kusten

Today is the realese of Magasin Höga Kusten at the Outdoor fair in Örnsköldsvik. Magasin Höga Kusten is a lifestyle inspering magazin about the High Coast area with the best of the archipelago, natur, adventure, food culture, sports, outdoors, profiles, gear and much more...


Mikael Lindnord is one of the profiles and the picture is from the photo shoot in early april.


The magazin distriubuts in 50.000 ex in Sweden with focus in the High Coast region.

Inaugurate of Öviks Energi heatwork

On thursday Mikael and Helena was included in the inaugurate of Öviks Energi heatwork in Hörneborg, Örnsköldsvik. The event company Jobba stood for the event and Mikael and Helena was the spectakular section of the opening cermoni, when they repell down from the roof with the key.

The speakers for the event was municipal commissioner Elvy Söderström, county governor Bo Källstrand, Öviks Energis chairman Per Häggmark, former vice precident Per Fridström, vice precident Kristina Säfsten and ofcourse 10 years old Oscar Martin that took the first cut with the spade. Musicartist Daniel Lemma sang his greatest hits.

Explore Sweden Monster 2009

HC Adventure are doing it again. Explore Sweden Monster a huge adventure race with over 1000km. From Sundsvall to Åre and back again including bikeing, glaciertrekking, ridge lines, riverboard, riverrafting, zip-lines... and much more.

ARWC wrap up.

The race started with a 4 hours running in the sand dunes. Luckily for the teams the start was in the afternoon and the sun was heading down. The Explore started great and was up in the head group during the running and came in on a third place just together with the other teams in the lead. A fast transition and the team paddled away out in the dark in big waves.

After the night paddling the team reached TA and changed for a biking leg, the section was going to be very sandy so the teams headed out with gaiters on and still the team was in strong mode.

The biking took the teams trough small villages and when night set in the team reached TA at the church. There the team had to make a bit slower change when Viktoria had problems to keep food and liquid. But after eating and slowly drinking the team set off again.

On this stage the team made some mistakes when they didn´t find one of the CP and lost around 4 hours seaching… so the team lost places, but very near the other teams with about 6 team within an hour.

Then out on a biking again during daytime and a very hot one again, and the team gained time against the team infront. Then followed a trekking and a biking and then a kayaking. During the kayaking Viktoria became really sick and after hours and hours of not beeing able to keep anything in her stomage the team took the decision to call for help. Viktoria did a great effort trying to keep on going but a least it became impossible. The team withdrawln only 7 hours from the finish and was at that time the best place Scandinavian team.

The team has now arrived to Jeri, and have been out traning, feeling the heat and the sandy terrain. They are very exited for the race start and now just now doing the final preparation. The registration has also taken part.

AR World Championship next up for Team Explore

The Adventure Racing World Championship will take place in Brazil October 30 - November 9. The team - Team Explore - will have a really great line-up with Mikael Lindnord, Petri Forsman - the legend from Finland, Viktoria Wallin - twice winner of Åre Extreme challenge and the entire Swedish multisport cup winner twice, and Martin Flinta - also winner of the entire multisport cup and with a numerous other wins.

The team will travel to Brazil October 27th and the race will start November 2nd. The race will be very demanding with temperatures that will reach 40 degrees Celsius and a very fast speed. The race will take place in the north of Brazil and Jericoacoara will be the HQ of the race. The diciplines will be: sailing, running/trekking, mountainbiking, paddling, ropeworks. The navigation will as always be a bit critic with the maps that will be 1:100.000.


Jericoacora, the little village where the registration will take place and teams are staying before and after the race.

- This new build team has teammembers with really strong race cv´s and I believe that this is the strongest team that I’ve ever been racing together with. We are very much looking forward to the exotic destination of this year World Championship that will take part just south of the Amazonas,-  says Mikael Lindnord

The team will also have 5 assistants all the way from Sweden: Mia Renz, Anna Blom, Bjarne Blom, Maria Winka and Helena Lindnord.
